The back board to this piece is a palette that I have used over the past two years. Anything that has been spray painted or had spray paint dripped on.. this has been underneath is to catch the drips. It ended up becoming so eye catching I couldn’t help but plan to paint on it. And oh boy doesn’t it look snazzy. The board is so textured. Raised mounds of dried acrylic paint.. palette knife scratches.. risen spray paint. It’s so rustic and so colourful. Not to mention the detailed zebra.. with individual hair brush strokes. It’s take me two weeks to find the perfect frame.. and the over all piece is most definitely a head turner. If you’re looking for that focal piece.. you’ve found one right here.
